Briefing: Illustrations for MUY MATE website project.

Dear illustrator,

We want to include a strong visual element in our project and we are looking for an illustrator
for the job. Please read the description of the project below.

Our Project

We are currently building an online shop for selling yerba-mate (ilex paraguariensis). Our
mission as a company is to bring the benefits of this traditional drink to the German market
and make it popular here. We want to accentuate not only the benefits, but also the context
elements of this drink, such as its precedence, traditional preparation and the rites around it.

Our Idea for illustrations

We want to show the traditional side of this drink with illustrations in victorian style (line art),
similar to the botanical books of the time. The Illustrations are primarily for use in webdesign
and are meant to frame the texts and videos on the site, or to better illustrate the products. A comprehensive list of required illustrations can be found below.

The illustrations should have the following characteristics:

• Victorian style line art
• Black and white.
• Vector graphic format such as .ai or .eps

The Motives

As mentioned before, we would like to present the world of mate through these illustrations. They are meant to accompany and frame texts and videos. The following images are to be illustrated:

• A Hand holding a gourd with a bombilla inside.
• Open „caffeinated“ eye
• Open mouth with the tongue slightly sticking out
• Open hand with straight fingers seen from the inner side
• Mate plant (ilex paraguariensis) including roots

The logo

We also would like to have our logo illustrated in line art in different variants.

• Logo with all leaves
• Logo without the leaves
• Logo in simplified line art (for smaller versions)
