My project is to build a wireless activity monitoring system for goats. The system will be used to capture motion, pulse and temperature of goats on my farm. The system is composed of 3 parts - (a) Stand alone Wireless unit (b) Base station Wireless transceiver (c) Computer software to log information in a database.
Part (a) should be based off a microconroller (e.g MSP430F149) and should have minimum 3 sensors - Pulse sensor (like SC0073), Temperature sensor (DS18B20), Digital motion processor (MPU6050) and a wireless UHF/ISM module to transmit signals up to a distance of 100m. The finished device should be able to transmit the measured data at least every 30 seconds.
Part (b) should be a base station that is able to transmit receive data to/from the above wireless unit.
Part (c) will be a software that will be used to monitor, track and tabulate the values recorded by the above devices.
