Hi We have done your requirements in many clients which will trigger mail in preset time. The same mail will have an attachment of excel sheet in your format. we have successfully implemented through sql only. we don't require excel vba skills. Methodology: 1. prepare sql sp's of your formats. 2. configuring the output to excel. 3. mail configuration and triggering the output excel through mail. we need license ms office with same bit as ms sql server and also ssis package in sql server. we look forward to work on this project. please revise the budget it's very low. thanks sundaram

I am a very experienced VBA developer with multiple projects completed in Access, Excel, Word, Project and Outlook. Of most relevance here would be work I did for an investment partnership to perform share analysis on public companies. Through my work with Access I also have a very good understanding of SQL. In Excel, data queries can be developed for SQL servers, websites and other data sources. From your description, you would need a workbook to run code on a regular basis. That code would pull data using an SQL query and would then create a new workbook with formatted reports based on that data. This workbook would then be emailed to one or more recipients - this workbook would only contain the relevant report worksheets. The requirement "if data is missing for any record/ hour/ date then it has to be copied from last populated record" is best handled in SQL so that Excel is just analysing and formatting the retrieved data.
