Dear sir/ madame; I have a extensive background in java programming and find this task will not be hard to complete. I am also experienced with using VBA scripts so if there is any need to interface both i will be able to do so. What i will require is just where you get the information from and how you got it using VBA then i will emulate the process in java quite easily.

Using java there's no problem to make it cross-platform GUI, since there is a bunch of java graphical libraries over os, and your project does not need a complex one. It's not clear what you gonna do with it, I mean It's seems like your project uses some database but as I looked at the picture it should not be a real full-featured "database". As I understood you somehow pushed ur xml tables to database and it worked, so the only issue with this I have - xml is originally a microsoft file format. I didn't research yet but it maybe quite a trouble to make java reproduce xml format on linux and mac. Not really the coding issue its just maybe that there is no suitable open libs over there simply cause nobody troubled himself about it yet. There is a bunch of formats which can be reproduced in java, I just not sure what exactly you mean by database and how you push it into your "database". Otherwise it's absolutely doable.

If you really need it to run on multiple platforms we will make it in Java, and (the gorgeous) JavaFX for GUI; That sounds good?
