My Client is currently looking to fill the below 3 roles- Each role is for 6 months- 450 per day- Immediate start for the right candidate- Based in Dublin City Centre.
Unix . experience 6 to 10 years
Handle all the HPUX/AIX/SOLARIS severity 1 and 2 faults (including outages) and provide a root cause analysis to improve the overall efficiency and uptime of the system.
Clearing file system space, file restores, alarms modification and server diagnostics due to fault conditions.
Rectify problems related to operating system backup failures such as HPUX/AIX/SOLARIS ignite/flar backups. Helping backup and restoration team in rectifying problem.
Participate in restoration of services including reboots, recycle services, restores from backup & recovery after a server crash.
Help in facilitating the Disaster Recovery exercise.
Perform or coordinate with vendors to perform hardware repairs and server hardware replacements due to fault conditions.
Supporting internal teams in providing privileged user access.
Perform HP HPUX/AIX/SOLARIS Operating System upgrades, system level patching and system software upgrades.
Perform critical OS migrations on production system to provide an optimum environment to the Database and Application team.
Cluster technology – Configure and troubleshoot the high availability clustering technologies on HP/AIX/Solaris, external storages and SANs as per the application need
Experienced in administration and management of cluster services – VERITAS , MCserviceguard
HPUX/AIX/SOLARIS server installation and configuration at enterprise level, performance tuning and automate jobs using the shell scripts.
Disk space modifications and disk mirroring as per the requirement from other partnership organization, add/remove/modify file systems.
All security changes including security patches/permission.
Conduction new or offsite Disaster Recovery/Failover exercise
Interact with the stakeholders and understand technical requirements pertaining to HPUX/AIX/SOLARIS infrastructure services.
Ensure that the delivery is made on decided timelines with best quality.
Capacity Management – Handling the capacity management considering the future growth.
Backup Admin : experience 6 to 10 years
Strong Knowledge of TSM Backup tool. Experience on Versions : 6.2 ,6.3 and 5,5
Experience with Tape Libraries and VTL’s
Strong Knowledge of File system, Oracle, SQL, Exchange backups and restores.
Knowledge of libraries and its configurations.
Strong Knowledge of VTLs Copy jobs and De staging Jobs.
Knowledge of Scripting and Unix/Windows Skills
Experience of gathering licensing requirement and utilization
Monitoring of Backup
Health checks on Backup infrastructure
Identify gaps and provide recommendations.
Restoration of backups
Backup capacity usage and planning
Oracle DBA experience 6 to 10 years:
Oracle DBA – administration , maintenance and performance tuning for Prod and non-prod databases , Well versed in RAC , HA& DR technologies Set up RAC administer, maintain and trouble shoot issues.,
Experience in db config scripts on HA clusters
Experience on Golden Gate set up and maintenance. Upgrades & migration.
Experience in driving P1 incident related to database
Capacity planning for databases
Experience in calculating licensing information for DB’s .
