i have esp32 and rfid reader.
what i want now is to build a time attendance ( it just push data to my server)
- First i want to connect via bluetooth to esp32 and configure esp 32 from it (change wifi password etc).
esp32 then need to send data to my server when card punched (http post or get)
i want to use gsm module instead of wifi for internet connection.
use freertos to distribute tasks.
show errors on serial port + 16*2 I2c lcd.

I want to create Simple Rfid device which reads Rfid punch impression and send punch data (card no + time, mac id, etc) to server with rest api , and Device should get instructions from sms / android app.
* we need to use gsm module because there is no WiFi available at device location.
I am thinking of using following components
ESP32 / or your suggested (prefer more than 2 uart ports) micro controller.
Sim800c as GSM module,
Rdm6300 as Rfid reader.
RTC
20*4 lcd
Though you can suggest hardware and software.(it should be cheap and easily available)
I prefer to use Arduino / micropython you can choose from
We can use modules for prototype.
We should build this with "RTOS" as it should not conflict with other threads and works simultaneously on different tasks (like sending data to server and reading card from rfid reader at same time) and it is easy to build.
**FreeRtos is first priority for this project (prefer FreeRtos ). It is must for apply.
I divided this project in 3 parts.
Following are points which i need from reader.
1-> (Main functionality)
i) Read rfid (LF 125khz) -> Beep on punch -> show card on lcd
ii) Block same card multiple punches in 1 minute (or as configured time)
iii) Send data every 20 sec through AT POST command (REST API) through gsm modem.
* ( we have to store data in flash to overcome power off issue )
iv) Check server response "ok" for sent data.
v) Retry / reboot on fail and show error on serial port, lcd
vi) Use RTC Clock for time and sync RTC time with server time when device boots
2-> (Device configuration commands through SMS / bluetooth serial port)
i) Read SMS configuration (Like - SET SERVERIP [login to view URL], SET DEVICEID 2001, SET ENDPOINT /api/punch. etc)
ii) Send response of SMS command (Like - "OK" when it reads sms and changes server ip.)
(server Commands :- SET SRVIP, SET ENDPOINT, STAT, SET Login password, GET QUECOUNT )
3-> (Status / logs / maintenance )
ii) server connect status led
iii) error status led
iv) Print Error log, card read log, data send log on serial port
v) show punched card, error on 16x2 lcd
I am open to your suggestions about components, software, platform etc.
I have built same with raspberry pi .
* If you have pcb design skills it will be bonus
I need custom pcb for this project later, i will pay for that.
PCB must have power / battery charge circuit ( we can refer wemos lolin32 design)
you should know git.
code should be proper commented / documented for later use.

Hello, I have built the exact same project using freeRTOS tasks on the ESP32, except for the RFID cards, I have an app running on the phone on which the user presses a button instead of using an RFID card, the app sends the MAC address of the phone to the ESP32 through BLE then sends data to the server through HTTP POST request, in my case the wifi & link to the server are updateable through serial but it would be easy to update them via BLE.
