Jewelry Design Application: Java?, Flash? Help!

We are a family owned, Hawaiian jewelry site based on Maui, [url removed, login to view], specializing in a variety of unique, handcrafted Hawaiian jewelry featuring shells, shark teeth, coral, and natural materials of bamboo, coconut, and carved bone gathered throughout Polynesia, from the Hawaiian Islands to the South Pacific and the Asian rim.

The opening flash sets the direction we want to take the site: choices, choices, choices. However, our design page is severely lacking.

My brother came across a bead site's design page ([url removed, login to view]) and we immediately thought the concept would make a perfect application to add to kkpacific.com. As you can see from the site and our eBay store(http://stores.ebay.com/id=4452673), we have a large variety of shells, shark teeth, hooks, carvings, woods, etc. and more to come. I would say that at this point, we have close to the number of elements as the bead site.

What we are looking for, specifically, is someone to re-create the design element (e.g. EZ Beads applet) and integrate it into our existing site. We would want to be able to know how to update/add images and prices at a later date.

We are not locked into the whole Java applet thing (don't know much about the ways to build things like this) but, JavaScript is usable on our host. The store administrator manuel and designer's reference PDFs that may be able to answer some (most) questions that I can't about what we can do, are here [url removed, login to view]

We don't have the images of the shells, teeth, carvings, etc. yet as we are waiting to see if the application is something that could work for us and if it was cost effective.

We have the shopping cart working, of course, through [url removed, login to view] and our web hosting is at [url removed, login to view]

We are not locked into the whole Java applet thing (don't know much about the ways to build things like this) but, I'm pretty sure JavaScript is usable on our host. The store administrator manuel and designer's reference PDFs that may be able to answer some (most) questions that I can't about what we can do, are here.

We look forward to hearing back about the project and what you might charge for creation and integration.

Aloha,
