Hi, I encountered a similar situation where i had to move all my design files from Solidworks to CatiaV5. I understand the challenges working with assemblies and importing them to different softwares as well as the loss of details for some parts which needs to either corrected or recreated. I have done all that for more than 200+ parts. I can share more details privately. The system configuration is core I7 8th gen with 32gb ram and 4gb gtx1050ti. Hello, there, sir. Although I know how to use CATIA V6, and I have it, I propose you to do this car assembly in Autodesk Inventor Profesional 2018. Why? Because Inventor has better dependencies with assemblies and subassemblies creating different levels of details easily and sharing different mechanical properties or simulations without too much work. Large assemblies? Autodesk Inventor. I can take your native files and convert them into solid bodies, no problem, and of course I can reedit such files. Let me know! BTW.
