ANH is seeking a content editor
The Alliance for Natural Health-USA is a leading consumer education, legal, and advocacy group working on the front lines in D.C. and state capitols in the fight to protect consumer access to natural health choices. ANH’s motto is “good science and good law,” and we strive to provide our readers with the timely and credible coverage of both. Please note that our main focus as an organization covers the politics and policies of natural health, which often included aggressive calls to actions. We do not cover informative health-related news items, although these often support our focus where needed.
We're looking for a part-time/freelance content editor for our weekly digital newsletter, The Pulse of Natural Health (currently with half-a-million subscribers). This editor will oversee the accuracy and voice of our original 500-900 word articles (3-4 per week), occasionally contribute their own original content, and provide editorial support for promotional and fundraising copy.
Our ideal candidate would come to Day One of the job with:
-- A "killer instinct" for pithy and punchy titles, teasers, and pegs that voice ANH's unique position within natural health and health freedom movements;
-- Understanding of natural health and health freedom movements in the U.S.;
-- Proficient understanding of ANH-USA campaign issue areas and stance, outlined on www.ANH-USA.org.
-- Proficiency in writing and editing articles (please see ANH-USA’s Pulse of Natural Health newsletter for example of copy);
-- Ability to review copy and turn around quickly to other staff with substantive and expert feedback to adhere to current publishing timeline.
The candidate may work remotely from home at approximately 10-15 hours/week.
Compensation is competitive, yet commensurate with experience.
