Need Arduino to read and relay generic garage door opener RF signal

I have tried several times but I may not be getting it right. I am looking for the ability to create an Arduino controlled garage door remote RF reader for my home automation system. A separate Arduino will be able to send the same door code. This contract will require providing a working copy, a parts list as well as the Arduino code.
