Switch box for son with Special Needs

I'm looking to build a "box" that has the following specs: 1) There are to be 2 inputs (Input 1 and Input 2) and 3 Outputs (Output 1, 2 & 3). The inputs have a 1/8" mono Female connection, which will accept a 1/8" mono male audio cable, which will be coming from a normally open contact switch. The outputs will also be 1/8" mono female connection, but they will be normally open contacts, that close when specified (below) 2) The operation of this "box" is pretty simple: a) When the box is first turned on, I want the box to take the input from Input 2, and pass it thru to output 1. So, if in this mode, if input 2 sees a momentary click (closed and then open on the normally open contact), output 1 will perform the identical operations (a momentary close/open contact). If input 2 receives a 3 second "close" signal, output 1 will perform a 3 second close on it's contact. b) When there is a signal (click) on Input 1, the box will switch the output to Output 2. Same outputs as in a) above. When there is another click on Input 1, output will switch to Output 3. Another click on Input 1 - output switches back to Output 1. 3) I would like this run via a rechargeable battery and a 12 volt external power supply which will be supplied by the power wheelchair. I would also like LED lights to indicate which output switch is currently active. The concept here is that my son uses a normally open switch to perform multiple tasks - control his wheelchair, activate his communication device, control his cell phone . . . This box will facilitate him being able to choose which device he is controlling, without the need for someone to unplug his switch from one device, and plug it into another device. The more configurable we can make this, to accommodate different future needs, the better, but that is not the priority. We need this built for us, as I have no electronics backgound.
