Bookkeeping

The main function of this job will be to obtain, enter and reconcile banking and credit card accounts in different versions of QuickBooks for a large portfolio of small business clients in various fields. Contact with clients via email, phone and in person. Some other office duties as needed. We are looking for someone for the Long-term and there is definite growth potential. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines. Working with multiple clients, learning their business & optimizing their accounting workflow. Setup/Cleanup of accounting records for multiple clients. Collaborating with internal staff to ensure client satisfaction with services. Timely and effective communication, delivery on deadlines. Creation of financial statements, review and analyze. Adhere to internal control systems. Communicate simply and effectively with clients as needed to obtain information. Qualifications: Complete knowledge of Quickbooks (data entry, report generation etc.) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other business tools Some understanding of fundamental accounting principles Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills Previous experience in accounting, finance or related fields a plus Accuracy and attention to detail Aptitude for numbers Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks Data entry and word processing skills Well organized Work well in a team and independently Must be comfortable working closely with other staff as we are a small firm with only 3 other employees.
