Hi, Yes, this can be achieved using vba / macros both are same. Excel can be used as front end which remains the same as it exists now, data will not be instantly updated in access user has to click on save button that will be added in existing excel file. i think you need a fully proyect in access, it is composed of one main database, and an auxiliar one (could be one copy for each user) that has the user interface from which data can be introduce, and they can be see. From the auxiliar databases you may get excel reports or partial views of the data. database could also make its own backup in diferents computers where de auxiliar database are runing as often as you desires.
