Digital painting illustrations for a music video

We're looking for digital painters to join us in the making of an experimental music video for the cosmic band Henge. They "have travelled to Planet Earth from the far corners of the Galaxy to bring a kind of music new to your world" - recently having finished a European tour and now preparing for releasing their new album and touring UK from one festival to the next throughout this summer. We decided to go with something a little bit experimental and tell their origin story of their spaceship Mushroom One as it travels across the universe spreading mushroom spores which ignite intelligent life forms on planets in distant galaxies. We have an animatik as well as have already done four days of shooting - footage has been captured to work specifically with our storyboards and for post-processing using the highly innovative app EbSynth. This means that we can prepare comps with our footage, export selected keyframes which are then to be illustrated by you and animate the entire thing using our motion and your style. Our references include the opening of Shrek movie (the book scene), biblical and mythological fresques as well as the classic digital painting style characterized by quick brush strokes and slightly impressionistic effect (due to software limitations we need to avoid hard edges and outlines). This is a rotoscoping job but only for selected frames (total amount of keyframes is estimated between 20-30). If you'd be interested please get in touch and share some of your work. A little bit about ourselves: we are a bunch of storytellers with a background in film running a small artist collective in London. This music video is certainly a passion project - the budget is tiny but because it's something we feel incredibly passionate about we are all chipping in to be able to offer you something in return.
