Build example Java code for connecting to AWS AppSync using IAM authentication

I have an existing Java-based server project which would need to connect to an API which is running on AppSync in AWS. To speed up development, we would like to find someone to implement example reference code on how to do this connection.

Features to be demonstrated

- Queries

- Mutations

- Subscriptions

Existing Java project uses Maven as its build tool.

Can use open source libraries, e.g. Apollo Android client or Nodes as the starting point.
