Some suggestions:
Performance, we use only symmetric encryption algo no asymmetric. If you dont want to exchange keys than you might setup pair of modules where Keys will bar hard coded inside each module. Mean module will work only with specific other module.
Hello, I’m a seasoned AVR developer. I’m not quite sure the regular AVR will have a horse power to do this (ADC is quite capable to do voice encryption, but its low resolution at 10 bits). It also lacks DAC which would be needed here. I would assume you are looking to ARM-based MCUs? I have decades of experience in embedded hardware and software design.
I can do the encryption easily, but I cannot get you free unlimited calls forever... you need to pay the people who own the telephone communication towers that allow us to relay the messages.
And whats wrong with Skype?
