Chrome extension to highlight words and phrases

Looking for someone to adapt an existing Opera User Javascript into a Chrome extension -- To highlight a set of multiple words (and phrases, “using quotes”) for pages from the same domain. I have the Opera 12 UserJS that does this but need someone to adapt it for a modern browser (Chrome).
The Regex for searching and CSS for highlighting/formatting is already in the userJS, so I just need help to make it work in Chrome.
