Hi,
I do have a requirement where I need to the below things in two scripts.
I have about 6 files coming in as set of files appended with date along with a .go file as below: (YYYYMMDDHHSS)
The [login to view URL] will indicate that set of files for the time 201204080204 are ready to be executed.
There is a chance that another set of above files may also present as below:
But as the set with [login to view URL] came first I need to execute the SQL job that uses only that set of files by renaming the files as below and then
executing the scripts:
[login to view URL] to [login to view URL]
[login to view URL] to [login to view URL]
[login to view URL] to [login to view URL]
[login to view URL] [login to view URL]
[login to view URL] to [login to view URL]
once my SQL job is done executing them it needs to tar and gunzip only this set of files, once done as my job reruns it processes second set of files
(incase any new set of files come in it should be ignored)
This can be done in two scripts,
1) the first one finding the oldest set, renaming them
2) The second script only archive and gunzip the above processes files.
Please let me know incase you need any clarifications and let me know how much this can be done for?
Thank you
Regards
Okkadu
Hi sir , My name is Luigi Widmore and i'm an expert web developer.
My areas are HTML/CSS PHP/MYSQL Design/Photoshop.
I can deliver this project in 4 days or less.
Please check PM for details , you may be impressed.
Thank you
I can do this neatly in 1 days of time. I would make sure the script is able to handle all common exceptions and returning meaningful messages apart from doing the expected job.
Do you have any preferences of shell (like Korn Shell or Bash Shell) I generally program in Korn shell but I am comfortable with any shell.
