I'm not sure if i'm explaining this properly however: I need to be able to scan a log for an ip that's constantly being updated to and curl an online api for the json response given that ip and if the ip is in a region that is in a deny list then it should ban the ip and prevent it accessing our vps ip directly. I also need to be able to check if the ip is in a list of other ip's and not to touch them but to notify that those ip's hit the server. this will be a script that will run forever and not crash but be customizeable if the output of log info changes and it should ignore certain tails that contain specific words reply with "trmnl" first in your comments or it will be ignored. if you have read the above.

trmnl Hello, Yes you can do that provided the IP in the log should be easily identifiable. As long as we can fetch the IP from log, we can do other operations like curl as you mentioned. "trmnl" and hello! Can do this task fast & precise. In addition I can suggest to use my "ip2loc-lean" script which does offline ip-to-geolocation conversion instead of relying on API for that. with best regards, Arthur.
