Are you aware about the conflict between ported app interface and design of the android device?- Most of the common app design tools provide iOS template and the templates will not be fitted well with android device; The designs conflict with the feel and look of the app. It will take a lot of effort and time to implement. Basically, there are many contradicting features between iOS and Android, such as – round buttons, lists, tabs at the bottom, date/time, widgets, navigation, lists with right pointing arrows etc. Next thing is to consider is fragmentation that is derived from different screen resolutions. Need to consider app’s data and graphics to be displayed both on small and large screens, considering vertical as well as horizontal layouts. To avoid these kind of problems, the first thing. need to do is avoid using iOS design tools. Just will use drawing tools such as Photoshop, Visio, Balamiq next etc. If want to get a quick overview of android UI; Please note that, In case of native application (objective C or Swift), there is no ready made plug in or SDK or any kind of API available to port the iOS UI to android. So need to basically design the screens compatible with iOS devices. Just checked the IPSC Quickscore Application. It calculates hit factor on the fly. It automatically calculates helpful statistics to help identify areas of improvement. It will be very much helpful for me if I get a chance to check the existing code base before make any commitment.
