The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will oversee the design, enhancement, implementation, reporting, and oversight of the firm’s financials, operations, human resources and compliance processes. Reporting to the CEO and working as a key member of the firm’s leadership team, the COO will take a leadership role in building, implementing, and overseeing all of the firm’s systems, processes, workflows, and procedures. The COO will also pay a critical role in  helping to shape and guide the future growth and development of the company. Specifically the following areas will fall under the COO’s responsibility: Supervise the preparation of monthly and annual financials, company financial and operating KPIs, prepare business forecasts, budgets and reports on aspects of profitability, capital expenditure and operation performance where appropriate. Developing and monitoring the company business plan. Managing investors’ relationships, both new and existing investors. Review and complete, where necessary,  budgets and plans of functional areas (IT, Labs, Marketing, Sales,..) and jointly approve them with the CEO. Monitor revenue and expenditure of the different departments to ensure attainment of objectives. Day to day supervision of sales performance, pipeline, activities and processes. Approve, jointly with the CEO, the strategic sales plans for the year and the quarter. Coordinate business development activities (alliances with key vendors or other technology companies). Direct and supervise the opening of new operations/branches, including staffing, equipment, licenses, signs, etc. Supervise HR plans, promotions, hiring and firing as well as administrative tasks. Design, monitoring and updating the company’s processes and procedures, across all areas. Ensure compliance with all legal, statutory and corporate affairs requirements on a timely basis as [url removed, login to view] to 15 years of experience as CFO, COO, general manager, business director or country manager of a B2B software company with international operations and ideally with a SaaS business model. Accustomed to work in highly demanding environments with extensive travel requirements and tight deadlines. Accustomed to deal with international investors. Excellent level of English written and spoken required. Team player, calm under pressure and accustomed to push/execute projects without hierarchical authority. Willingness to live in Barcelona.
