Develop a Mac Application document writing app

Hello fellow Dev. I'm a skilled iOS/Mac developer and UI designer.

I am looking for a self-driven, objective C programmer to make a Mac word processor similar to TextEdit but with a Microsoft Word like design. The design for the app is complete in PSD format. As an Apple developer, you have access to every line of code in TextEdit. We will use everything and connect it to my new design.

Here are more details on the app:

Text editor with ability to edit or create:

• .doc, .docx, .xml, .txt, .rft, rtf with attachments, .html, .opd (open document) - all of these are supported under TextEdit already

• Easily share files via:

• Save As/export to above format

• pdf, print, message, airdrop, mail

Actual text editing has buttons for:

• cut, copy, copy style, paste, paste style

• font, font size, font color, bold italic underline, background text color

• align text, center text, justify text

• bullet points, abc list, 123 list

• spacing

• insert table, insert image

• undo redo

• View/edit ruler, adjust markers on ruler giving the ability to have “columns”

• Rename the file by mouseover on the title of the document

• zooming in and out of document

• view/edit document properties

• Insert URL as a hyperlinked text

• create a new document

Again, all the functions listed are already in TextEdit

Users can Find/find and replace text

The biggest new addition is a “page view” where users can see and go to every page in their document.

Users will also have the ability to view word count and current page on & total pages.

In the preferences of the app, users will be able to:

• choose the default save format

• default font & size

• Properties of new documents including author, organization & copyright

• Checkboxes if the users would like to:

• check spelling as they type

• check grammar with spelling

• Correct spelling automatically

• Show ruler

Design with pixel level detail is very important.

• Code must be written in Objective C

• Code must be clear with comments in English

• No hard coded strings: Separate for localizing

• Final delivered asset is an Xcode project file with the entire app functioning with no warnings or errors. All code CANNOT be reused for another project and 100% ownership is transferred to me once the payment has been made.
