Project requirements: We are a start up company providing classroom training, school management and teacher coaching to primary and secondary schools. I am looking to create an online present to showcase our services and use the web platform as an informational source for Schools and educational authorities a like. The design layout of all the pages have been created and ready in .PSD formats. The site needs to be developed using clean XHTML and CSS all inline with W3C web standard consortium where possible. I would like to use “Word Press” for the CMS. Therefore the design needs to be converted into a theme and integrated into the word press framework. Please note the design guidelines must be followed exactly. For example, the navigation must remain as a graphic, however for purposes of SEO all graphics i.e. links and logo etc must be overlaid with CSS. (Important) The main banner will be a sliding banner I like you to use some JQuery of an AJAX library for this. The images for the banner (there will be four slides) will be provided to the winning bidder after few days into the development. I just need to prepare the right images for the slides; however this shouldn’t hinder the development. Attention to details is a key factor here, therefore please makes sure font size, spacing between graphical elements on the page are exactly the same as the design. To save time during the testing stage, you are required to test the site for bugs and cross browser compatibility in IE 6, 7, 8, FF, Safari. Every form must be validated to accept the correct form of data type. The CMS functionality: I want to be able to manage the content i.e. images, text on all pages with content via a Content Management System. That means, the page heights must not be restricted when more content is added. The site also has a newsletter sign up feature; all emails will be sent to an email address. I will be posting messages onto twitter, which is why we require the feed from twitter to appear on the site (only the latest twit) you can see an example of the twit comments on the main page. The contact us form content will also be sent to an email address. The website will also have the latest news section only three news articles must appear on the main page no more then three. Again the main page design it demonstrates this. The testimonies section will also appear on the main page, this will only be a preview of the testimonies not the full text, if you look on the design, you notice the testimony has an associated image with it; this too will be a rotating slide show (auto cycling every few seconds) once clicked it takes the user to another page, with the full testimony. The admin must be able to add or manage the testimonies and news articles via the admin site. One of the links on the main navigation bar is “Our Services” this will have a drop down menu with ten sub-links I will proved the winning bidder with all the layouts for each page. The design is quite simple and straight forward. Do an excellent job and you will get two more projects from me right after this one. If we both like working together then you will be given ongoing work with no brakes between projects. These are functionalities which are required in the CMS.
