Magento extension

We have a Magneto ecommerce site [login to view URL] that needs to interact with a third party system to fetch product information and upload orders and the customers’ data to the third party order processing system. For this purpose, we are proposing the building of a Magento extension. To talk to the third party system via the extension, these are the key stages: 1. The third party system uploads XML files to an FTP directory, which will sit in the Magento system, and calls a URL PHP script that sits on the Magento system to process them. These XML files comprise product information and general data like tax rates, catalogues, products images, and so forth. The Magento Extension will process these files by extracting the products names and images and uploading them to the Magento website database. (Examples of the file format can be found in the ‘Website [login to view URL]’ file) 2. When customers place orders, the Magento Extension uploads those orders and the customer’s data in XML files to the same FTP directory. The third party system is already connected to the FTP directory, and monitors to download these files periodically (examples can be found in the ‘Website [login to view URL]’ file) 3. When orders are dispatched, the Magento Extension receives that confirmation from the third party system via the ftp directory (similar to step 1).
