*Customer*
The primary goal of the project is to develop a web interface to allow customer to track and create service record of all existing equipment. *BEAM* (Business Equipment Asset Management) will allow customers to log into our support site and view all the equipment they potential have on hand. They will also be able to pull service recorders on a unit updated by qdata when a unit comes in for repair. Or they will have the option to manually enter in service Records for none qdata repairs (Service Contract Direct Ship To Manufacture). With in the site there will be some built in intelligence, and business rules to alert the customer of potential upcoming potential service (E.g. Battery Replacement from 2 years of Ship Date). The site will also have options for generating history report, asking online questions, creating Ticket, creating RMA, online documentation, and customer specific information (Unit Version and Configuration).
*Internal Use*
The idea is to distribute the service work load, while creating a knowledgebase to aid other service technicians and training process. With a web interface, all offices can select support requests from a pool and handle the issue on a case by case. Accesses install notes and customer configuration, internal documentation. Have the option to track phone calls, service work, time spent, centralized service scheduling. Allow managers or super users to mange delegate, and generate billing reports. Allow managers to see real time service flow, escalate problems or issues, and generate service history reports.
