Hello, I'm in need of a php/mysql based client management system.
Deadline is 30th of March. An earlier completion would be greatly appreciated.
As far as I can tell it's nothing superspecial, however my customer is looking for his "own" solution.
Core functionality is file upload, to-do list for the clients and send mails to staff.

As expected, there were some additional feature requests just when you thought you knew it all.
-> Admin should be able to upload files for client accounts
-> Admin should be able to upload the invoices (PDF). This is a seperate topic - normal files uploaded would be word docs or jpgs and these will be deleted after a few days, these invoices need to stay.
-> Files uploaded by Clients should be moveable to a "public" directory, meaning the files can be hyperlinked from another Website. (think imageshack). Default is inside a password protected directory.
-> Any Action by Admin or Client should prompt an email. If the Client uploads a file, an email goes ot the Admin and vice versa. Also if the Admin creates a new item in the to-do list, an email is sent to the client.
-> A Calendar which is part of the to-do List. If the Admin creates a to-do list item like "please upload files until 05/28/2011 it should show as a highlighted date. In addition, we need recurring entries. These are mainly for the date when the monthly invoices are due. No details are necessary, just a highlighted date with a mouseover "Your monthly invoice is due".

There is nothing public, all content is in password protected directories.
Design according to their Corporate Idendity will be handled by me. You need to provide the basic user interface and I'll make it look good.

Client Area:
- Client File Upload
Should support a wide variety of formats. We have everything from Video files, JPGs, and Word Docs. Short Description for each file should be possible.
- View To-Do List, mark parts of the To-Do List as done.
- Send message to Admin
- What's new (see below)
There will be a static Contact/About us page with phone numbers etc.
Simple Account:
- File Upload. Short Description for each file should be possible. Same deal as above, just without bells & whistles.
Admin Interface:
- Create Client Account (user/pass, contact data)
- Create Simple Account (user/pass)
- View Uploaded Files. Should show the total storage needed for all files.
- Create/View To-Do List for Client Accounts ("dear client, please upload the following files blabla")
- View/Reply to Messages
- Email to all Clients ("newsletter")
- Create What's New for all Client Accounts ("we have a new employee")

Please do the development on your own server. I'm going to provide you with my customer's server data asap, just in case we need a mySQL upgrade or anything else.
We both know hosts can take some time, to get even minute changes done........
Although I'm looking back on a decade of web design experience, I'm technically still stuck in 2008, as I spent more time with other ventures.
So please bear with me, if I'm not entirely up to date. ;-)
One more thing. No drive-by offers please.
