I need a developer to build a unique social network. Our design team has created PSD layouts for each specific page to be created, so you will not need to focus on design. The perfect freelancer will be able to convert these PSD documents to the web, and implement our functionality.
This social network will have many of the same features as Facebook/Twitter, allowing users to create their own profiles. Users will receive emails to verify their email upon signup.
Inside the network, users will be able to create posts with a short amount of text content, and use a Facebook-like image upload function to add images(s) to their posts. The images are the key component of our site.
Each post will require the images to be geotagged and time stamped.
The front-end user will be able to view a timeline of posts, filtered by either location or time, based on the information of the images in the posts. The freelancer who wins the bid will learn more about this process in the project briefing.
Users will be able to 'follow' other users, and view their timelines.
Users will also be able to use a Google map to click and drag a selectable area of the map, and save that cropped area as a location they 'follow'. The user could then view all posts that take place within that location.
All posts will allow users to comment and like, much like Facebook.
