WYSIWYG Form Designer

We need a WYSIWYG Form Designer writen in C++ for Windows platform We believe that C++ is the best language for this, unless a developer can explain why another language is better suited. Keep in mind the ability for other developers to make modifications to this product is high on the list of requirements. We will not write the application in a language that limits us to who we can find for future modifications The Form Designer will give users the ability to create their own Forms such as Invoices, Purtchase Orders, etc. This product will only replicate pre-printed forms, there will be no Form Filler and no input fields, no check boxes etc. This is only for replicating pre-printed forms and printing them for use in place of purchasing pre-printed forms Features required: Create new Form or edit previously created ones and delete and save-as Optionally display a text file (.txt) in the background with .166 vertical spacing and .10 horizontal spacing giving user the ability to draw lines, boxes etc around data in the file. The background file is for display purposes only. Need ability to draw lines, boxes, shaded areas, add text (with Font slection and font size) Need Print Preview and Print options Display ruler along top and left side Display a grid and allow for defining grid spacing some BASIC ideas of what we are looking for is in the attached file. The attached documents are VERY basic, the final specs will be developed by us after discussions with the developer as. The attached Basics should give you an idea of what we mean by Form Designer but IS NOT the specs that the product will be developed to. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. Will sit down with a couple of pre-printed forms and replicate them using this program, print them and compare with minimal differences between the printed copy and the pre-printed original 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Source code must be VERY WELL documented such that another programmer can "read" the comments through the source code and determine what is happening and why. 4) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. We have added the option for the Form Designer to be written in a language other the C++ if the developer can exaplin why it is better then C++ for this project and if the language does not severly limit us to finding other developers to make changes to the product in the future. We have also attached a file that shows BASIC screen shots that we hope gives you an idea of what we are looking for. This document is NOT the design specs, it is for information purposes only to show what we mean by Form Designer.
