The idea of this small patch is to make the "Enter password" fields while creating a new customer account disappear and set a password which is defined by the code - details below.
The customer will not be see the password field. [url removed, login to view]
After entering all required fields in the registration he clicks on "Register" and the new account is created using a password defined by the following "code".
The standard "use password entered by customer" feature shall be disabled and be replaced by a code which allows the admin to choose whether a random password shall be used or a defined standard one. For example:
(like using the "use automatic password" when creating a user account in the backend the system will use a random password)
alternatively the coder/admin can replace "use random" by a standard password which will be used for all new accounts then like
So the admin would be able to choose whatever he wants / needs.
This shall work at least for Magento CE [url removed, login to view]
So what we need is a small patch / code using as few code as possible to make the "enter password / confirm password" fields disappear for customer creation. The admin should be able to change the code to have either a random password or a standard one.
Nothing else shall be changed. The transactional email for "new customer" should be able to send the password to the new user.
