Custom search & filtering functionality for very large Joomla / Virtuemart websites.

We have a number of Virtuemart eCommerce websites, and a very large number of products and we require that customers can search and interact with this data quickly. Having installed "Geek ElasticSearch Component" it is apparent that ElasticSearch can provide the speed of search that we require, but we also want to interact with the search results further in the same way that the standard Virtuemart Search allows. We also use "Custom Filters PRO" which provides a great interface for customers to manage, organise and interrogate the products to find exactly what they need; this is especially useful with search results, but suffers from the same slowness that the standard search uses when dealing with so many products. Specifically we use the 'custom fields' aspect of this to provide breakdown on various aspects of the products. This, or a similar solution needs to be able to interact with the search results in the same (or similar) way. We would like a custom-built search that combines the best elements of the above. Results should be returned as a page / category that we can customise the layout and contents of. We would like the search to be smart enough to deal with the following cases we've encountered using various search methods: Plurals: Search for 'dog' also returns results for 'dogs'. Search for 'dogs' returns results for 'dog' Word breaks: search for 'moneybox' returns results for 'money box', and vice versa. Spellings: We're aware that ElasticSearch supports fuzzy searching, so it can find results where one or more characters differs. If it can be developed such that incorrect spellings (generally) return the expected results (albeit with lower relevancy scores), this would be useful. We do not currently index any other Joomla content type than Virtuemart products. We have currently installed a free tier ElasticSearch domain on AWS, but if your solution uses another product we need to be made aware of any upfront and ongoing costs as part of any quotation provided. We must be free to use this addon on multiple websites without limitation. The intellectual property of this development must remain ours; it is imperative that custom work we've paid for is not subsequently made available for sale or distribution. If you are able to do this, please can you provide a breakdown of costs and timescales involved.
