I see you are reposting this, times and times again, not sure exactly why.
Anyway, the ScrapeStorm itself is a compiled executable desktop program, so no chance on changing anything on that end, thus your only option is indeed to change how the things are handled on teh receiving end. And it shold work, simply because the ScrapeStorm creates the posts talking to the wordpress not directly, but always through the plugin.
Now, in my opinion, as I really hate making things static/single purpose only and removing capabilities from teh code to replace them with other capabilities, though serving particular use case only, the best approach would be to add some settings to the plugin to tie particular requests(like say those coming from a particular IP where the ScrapeStorm would be running at) to particular post type(and related taxonomies) while leaving it completely unchanged for all other requests fired at it, that are not coming from a mapped source.
