Mobile Device Management System (MDM)
We're looking to build a Mobile Device Management System to enable the school team to manage their tablets. The project is split in 2 the first is a Web Portal to control and manage everything from their and we prefer to be LARAVEL-based project and Mobile App (Android and iOS) we can start with Android for now not an issue.
Mobile Devices Management System Features:
- Laravel Web Portal works as the server (Centralized Dashboard)
- User Groups (SuperAdmin, Administrator, SubAdmin, Teachers, Students)
- Multilanguage Support Interface
- Supports Arabic and Latin characters (unicode)
- Multi OS Support
- A client agent app will be installed in each Tablet in order to enforce policy from the server to the tablet.
- The MDM will have the ability to push Apps downloaded from Playstore or Local Apps using intranet so that these apps can be installed and activated inside the tablet, with the ability to stop the automatic updates.
- All Documents (Books and E-materials) will have en expiry date and schedule to be purged automatically. Date is set by administrators on the web portal
- Safe Web Browser (Parental Control) blocking sites by keyword, urls and categories. A customizable browser or Chrome or Opera should be signed in with the registered email and password, the user must not be able to signout or switch user, with java/flash support and automatically add a predefined whitelist of categorized URLs
- The MDM Application should have the ability to disable Tablet settings and can control the following components: Speakers, Microphone, Camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB Ports, OTG, SD Card.
- MDM should have the flexibility to set multiple periods schedule for starting or stopping any of these features accordingly
- Administrator should be able to mass register all tabs, using unqiue emails for each (from csv, xls, or else). This is an import/export function
- All policies can be pushed to tablets to be implemented by one account or a group of accounts.
- The MDM should prohibit any user other than the school administrator from downloading or uploading any Apps (Whitelist/Blacklist App Catalogue) -> Enterprise App Catalogue and Application Management
- Tablet Date/Time should be retrieved from server
- Student will be able to add a new wifi
- Google services should be one time signed in with no ability to sign out (e.g. Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc..)
- User's name should be shown on the tab
- Gmail app should be customized in a restricted way, so that only the student's colleagues from same classroom or grade are able to email him/her without an attachment.
