Mobile App to Search and Update a Custom WordPress Website

Thank you for looking at our project. We are looking to build an app that will allow for a subset of functionality from a WordPress website we will have live next quarter. Ideally both iOS and Android versions but iOS as a first release. The website is a database of automobiles. The main function of the mobile app will allow the user to query the database for any records of a particular car. If no record is found, the app would prompt the user to enter the car into the database. The app would use the WordPress user accounts for access etc. The app would also allow a viewing of an instagram based blog. The developer must have experience with WordPress integration development. Although not critical, it would be ideal if the developer has some interest in automobiles! Main functions of the app: 1. Login to the app based on account credentials from our word press site 2. Create an account if not already in WordPress. 3. Prompt the user to enter a car’s VIN. This will have a few drop down list prompts to speed this up. 4. Query the database given a car’s VIN. (VIN = Vehicle Identification Number. Basically the serial number of an automobile) 5. Display one of more records that are returned. These are the history for that VIN. 6. If no records are returned, give the user the option to add the VIN to the system. 7. Prompt the user for data: VIN, mileage, color etc. 8. Attach one or more photos to the record 9. Save the record to the WordPress database and associate it with the app user. We’ve attached two screen shots to the project. One shows the current drop down system that was built to facilitate entering VINs into the website. The second shows the detail record associated with a certain VIN. We were going to make some screen mock ups and may still do that but wanted to get the project post up now rather than wait. Secondary Function: 1. Display the website blog – which is basically our instagram feed. [login to view URL] We also have a web based application that allows users to calculate the manufacturing date of their car as well as decode the options on their car. We’d like to build this in as well. However, that can be a phase 2 ability. The current non-WordPress website is www.sl-registry.com. There can be found the blog and a web page we’ve developed for option decoding. Our current WordPress site development is being done by our company staff in Pakistan. The ability to interact efficiently with that team will be a plus. We are hoping to have a long-term relationship with the developer as we can already envision several releases after version 1. Our current, full-time development team has been with us since 2012, starting as a project here on freelancer. As always, the cost brackets on Freelancer never seem to quite fit. Please bid what you think. If you want to estimate the login, the lookup and the add functionality separately, that is fine.
