Hello, Can you let me know which language is used in the shopping platform? If you'd like to have instant chat like facebook/google talk has, then it can be build with nodejs and socket.io. Also if you except high traffic on the chats then a seperate server is needed. If you want something simple then PHP will do but that wont be much realtime and use server resources more often.
