PHP/Git/Code Igniter/Mongo/MVC Skills Needed to Finish Global Disaster Relief website with Team using VM

Hi, we are looking for a back-end developer with **proficiency** in the following (see below) to help us a major project that will improve global disaster relief and humanitarian aid We have a team of volunteers. OUR PRIMARY INTEREST IS RECRUITING MORE VOLUNTEERS. MUCH OF THE CODING IS ALREADY DONE. We are now adding last features, making improvements, fixing bugs, finishing coding. We are using GitHub and a Virtual Machine. ***You must have experience with GitHub.*** We have a TEAM of volunteer (professional) developers working on this project. You MUST follow all directions or the code will not be merged and cannot be used. **Our budget is extremely limited. Our primary interest is finding volunteers or developers willing to give a BIG break for a good cause.** This initiative will benefit some of the most disaster vulnerable regions of the world and, if successful, there could be future opportunity for more work. Here are the qualifications needed: * Object oriented php (code igniter preferred!) Will be helpful if you know symfony or python/django in the future) * Understanding of MVC and CRUD * Php templating (twig is even better) * MongoDB and creating json for mongo to ingest and ability to query mongodb and return json to the templates or front end * MySQL RDBMS - complex querying (sql), creating tables, modifying etc and ability to do this using PHP code as we use codeigniter code migration library * Understanding of JSON and working with JSON using php * Security would be a plus * Ability to work with 3rd party APIs, twitter, google news, google maps -- how to set up apps and get keys and tokens and use that data with php to generate the data for the front-end * Unit testing • MUST MUST MUST have a Github account and understand how to fork a repo and make pull requests. • We are using Vagrant VM. Will need the ability to do light work with the command line (at least be no afraid to use it with provided instructions). *** Also, we prepared a test to determine if you have the skills needed for this project.
