Tutoring Platform

I want to launch a tutoring platform online. I already have purchased the domain and have a few free plugins However, since there are so many speciifc functions I need; I am unsure whether I require most the website to be customised; certain parts of it; or whether this is essentially a "plugin" job, i.e. there are plugins that already pre-exist for what I require I have been contacting plugin companies and developers, but it appears that it is unlikely that each plugin downloaded will cover each functionality I require. However, the issue is whether custom coding will damage some of the functionality of the plugins, which obviously I don't want to happen. As of yet, I have not purchased any "premium" plugins since I want to ensure that each functionality can be undertaken before I make purchases or attain the services of a developer. However, I want to understand whether my project is doable for developers and whether: - the functions I require will need to be "written from scratch" - plugins are indeed suitable for what I need - a combination of "customised code" and plugins is doable My website is going to become a platform where tutors can register on the website for free. A student can then contact a tutor: tutors can even contact students as it is free for students to make a profile. It is free to contact each other on the websites' personal "messaging portal", but it is up to both parties to agree to lessons before an exchange of contact details takes place. Once lessons are agreed upon, it is up to the student to pay for the tutors' contact details. What I require is a messaging system where: - admin approves whether messages get sent - ideally a system that can automatically track personal details being exchanged (no details get exchanged until the tutee buys the tutors details via the finder's fee) - upon the student buying the details, the tutors personal details get released immediately. I am replicating models used by other tutoring websites. On the homepage, you will be able to type in your postcode and subject requirements. You will then be directed to the tutors directory. Tutors displayed are ranked by feedback and distance. It will be like a "Google search" for tutors/tutees and the important part of the website will be the tutor search function. In terms of additional functions that I require, they include the following:  Able to remove all characters, emails and numbers (issue is people may say jimmy dot gmail dot co dot uk)  Tutoring registration form can be done "in different pages". Ideally separate registration forms for students and tutors.  Registration form where tutor inserts postcode  Accounts being active or inactive: not appearing on search - this should be very obvious and clear for the tutees in particular  People can message despite being active or inactive if they so choose  Feedback etc can still be given even if an account is inactive  Details only being relinquished on purchase - if this doesn't work, I can instead just have the tutor agree "with the use of some kind of button", then a "tutee" checking the other box.  Details can only be purchased once both a tutor and tutee agree to lessons (there will be a clear button click)  "Verified" tab for references, DBS, qualifications etc (this would be available to admin only)  Once tutee purchases details, the tutor automatically appears under the "my tutors" tab  Email and SMS notifications sent to the tutor if they so choose  Files can be uploaded by tutors (no need to upload for students)  Feedback able to be given by tutees.  Feedback able to be responded to by tutors and tutees.  Premium membership for different date frequencies  A user can add information on subjects covered, qualification, feedback given / received (i.e. the things on the tutor and tutee login page) - this can be done separately for both online and one-to-one tuition  Tertiary menu for tutors and tutees upon login  Tutor at "home" or "travel" options provided (basic tick box, which will probably be displayed on main profile after searching also)  Admin being able to approve things like photos etc before being uploaded  Ideally referee scores can be given  Details that are edited must be moderated first (i.e. all pics moderated)  File uploads (pics in particular) need to be verified first!
