Powershell script: Retrieve appointments from Exchange and execute cmd

I setting up an application scheduler that I want to base on an exchange calendar. The Task Scheduler in windows will run a powershell script each hour or similar and the script needs to request an Exchange server for appointments to see if there are any activities to run or not. The script should initiate the run if it finds appointments within a certain time range and category. The category is needed to mark calender items as "completed" and skip "non run" activities.

In general, the script should follow these steps:

1. Retrieve appointments from Exchange calendar dated back to the last 24 hours and have the correct category

2. Loop the items that matches these criteria:

- Run a command line with a parameter that uses the subject of the appointment

- Mark the calendar item in Exchange with the selected category for "complete"

3. End

The command line can look like this:

"[login to view URL] /parameter1 {subject of appointment}"

Configurations in the code:

* Exchange server

* Mail account

* Category to use for "items to run" and "complete"

* The period of "24 hours" is and example and should be configurable as duration

* (+ any other stuff you will think of)

If it matters, the Exchange server will be on the same domain as the server running the script but if works with on premise as well as exchange in the cloud this it's a bonus.

The categorization might be replace by something else, like a tag or something. The important thing is it should be able to skip items not marked for "run" and if we run the script twice, it should recognize the items it ran the last run so it doesn't run it again. Using categories can help me to track the progress with colors when viewing the calendar in outlook which is a good thing but I open for suggestions here!

Your delivery from this project is:

1. The ps script file

2. Any instructions needed to install it (special permissions or whatever)

I will test it by configuring it to use my Exchange server and mail account etc > set up a some test appointments and initiate the script > see if it runs the command lines and inserts the subject as a parameter > run the same script again and see that i runs no activities again (since they have been marked)

I hope I have explained it clear enough but just ask questions if you have any. It's very important that you have understood the demands!

Please give me your bid and when you can this develop this. Also include some kind of personal comment so it's clear to me that you are not auto answering with a bot!
