solicited proposal

This proposal should be roughly 3 pages, and I would like for it to be finished tonight. I am wanting to write a solicited proposal for Challenge America by the National Endowment for the Arts. The territory of focus is the Chiloquin area in Oregon (a small town with a lot of Native American history). The reason is to bring awareness to Native American culture as well as give the small town some kind of attraction (it's a poorer area). The gap the project is addressing is the discrimination that the Native American community faces, even in areas heavily populated with Native Americans. By showing the beauty and uniqueness of their culture, hopefully people will come to give it the respect it deserves. For a competence claim, I created a mural for my school in memory of a girl who committed suicide due to bullying. The mural is still talked about by people who pass by it years later (I know because my mom works at the same school). Awareness of bullying was raised because of the mural in away that can speak to anyone, through art. It is important for every culture to be represented, especially in areas with a lot of history/connection with the culture. Art is a method that can be captivating as well as inspirational/educational.
