Arts and their influence on cultural identity

Develop a 500-600 word essay that that defines how the arts have been used to construct and critique national identities. For example, you could write on the social and political protests in the wake of George Floyd's death, and ask/assess/evaluate/observe/synthesize how has art played a role in developing this cultural identity? Discuss 3 examples of art, and at least one to two historical examples that come from the textbook. (One is required from the text.) There is much to be found on the Instagram feeds from many different organizations documenting this movement. As an alternative, you could consider Nationalism in any country of your choice, some discussed in the book are Guinea, America, Japan or China, following the same directions.
