we are looking for an educated, highly literate native Spanish speaker to translate texts from either German or English into Spanish. The subjects vary: from social aspects, marriage and family, marketing, travelling, media articles to more technical subjects, like IT, finance, legal etc.
Special requirements: most texts will be part of websites. Texts are written as SEO friendly texts and shall be SEO friendly also after translation.
The translation needs to be done online using an easy to use CMS (Content management System).
We need someone very responsible, reliable and with an excellent knowledge of Spanish grammar, spelling and punctuation.
This is an ongoing casual work opportunity. We will give you assignments as they become available.
The text sizes also vary: some are a couple of dozen, or even a couple of hundred, pages, others are just a few pages long.
Your bid should be for translating 500 words. 500 words are approximately one page. Each project will include several thousand words. Please offer your price.
In your bid please also state the following:
1. Subjects you feel comfortable with for translation jobs
2. Your turn-around times: how many words per day can you translate on average
5. A little about yourself: your education and experience as translator.

Regarding the subjects of the text to be translated, I don't have a problem with any of the subjects you mentioned in the project description.
I've placed my bid for $30 because that was the lowest limit, but my rate for 500 source words is $9.00 and I can manage around 1,200 words per day, this number could be higher depending upon the volume of work I have with other employers at the moment of the project.
I believe that a good translation should not only sound natural, but should also correspond to the culture of the target audience, as if it were a text originally written in the target language. It is equally important for the translator to fully understand the source text, regardless of whether it is well-written or not. For this reason, I rely on a small team of carefully-selected assistants to aid in either translation or proofreading. To ensure that my translations are accurate, idiomatic and free of errors, including any errors that may be present in the original text, every project involves a native speaker of the target language and a native speaker of the source language.
