Assuming, you can connect to the database of your website from sql server management studio from your local computer; and you do have a separate database in your local server as well where you'll be updating your data. And you want that data to be updated in your website's database. The process can be either automated, if frequent updates has to be carried out, else manual update is quick and easy if updates are less frequent. Manual process 1) Create a table on website database and update that table with the data from your local server. It can be updated either via linked server or excel file import/export or direct copying of excel file to server or any medium you like. 2) Run the stored procedure on website's database. That will update your website's table from freshly copied data in our new table. Automated process 1) Table and stored procedure will be there and a SQL job on the website's database to check for new data and update your table. 2) One more sql job in your local sql server which copies data to the website's database. This can be done manually as well just for convenient as well.
