I'm looking to update an HTML site to a new CMS.
The current site is [login to view URL]
I've taken a stab at a Mambo site, which can be found at [login to view URL]
I want to keep the design aspect of the old site (background, colors, images) and put them into a new, simple, clean CMS layout. I'd provide photo images, fonts, files all content and navigation needs already exists on current site and needs to be replicated into the CMS.
This means - I need you to be able to take a template (like mine from Mambo) and the old HTML site, and combine them with CSS/HTML/the CMS, and make the site look modern, be CLEAN CODE, and built in a way I can easily update/manage content.
I'm not married to looking *absolutely* like the old, outdated HTML site. Only a few elements need to transfer over (colors, background, banner image/logo, etc). The overall layout of the site can be redone to fit a more traditional, *CLEAN*, modern CMS layout. I will, however, be considered the graphic designer on this project.
NOTE: the server comes pre-installed with FANTASTICO, which means there are basic CMS systems (software licenses) already on the server and ready for installation... you can choose from Mambo, GeekLog, Xoops, PHPnuke, siteFrame, Typo3, etc... or install your own CMS. I'd prefer JOOMLA, but it's not absolutely required.
This should be a CMS programmer's dream come true! Take a small, simple, existing site and turn it into a clean CMS site.
This is my cousin's website I'm reaching out to you because I wanted to help him, but I know there are people like you who can make this CMS site far better than me, and faster!
Thanks, Happy Bidding!
PS Site is running on a LINUX server, PHP4, MySQL 4.1.22. If you require PHP5, let me know and I can accommodate.
Hi, I can do this job for you, might need one more day, because I only got an hour of sleep last night. Let's see, I'll do my best...as always. :)
I'd go for the Joomla solution, it's got a great templating engine in the latest 1.5 release candidate 2, and it's the CMS I'm most familiar with, so for me it would be a time-saver.
Cheers,
Ed
