• Originally promoted to I/T Manager and later upgraded to Senior Manager. • Responsible for technologies deployed throughout Maxell. (currently 4 sales offices plus telecommuters) • Maintain corporate MPLS network, as well as, IPSEC VPN tunneling. • Manage an array of individuals from application developers to helpdesk staff. • Coordinated the deployment of a new ERP system (ASW) mandated by parent company Hitachi Maxell. (Successful in creating and managing a lengthy project plan, working with the third party provider (IBS), setting up and at times customizing the ERP software, interfacing the software with a legacy system, preparing training material and holding training sessions. It was a two year long project that was completed to the satisfaction of all, including Maxell’s parent company.) • Concurrently project managed an upgrade from a Novell 4.11 network to a Windows 2003 domain with • Active Directory alongside a Lotus Notes upgrade from 4.6 to version 7. • Envisioned and designed a Request Management Application (RMAPP) for Sarbanes Oxley compliance. (Met with auditors to understand the deficiencies in existing processes, engineered a system by way of work flows with the intent that it would be built as a Lotus Notes database, interacted with third party companies to commission the creation of the database, managed the outsourced development, deployed the system, trained the users and in turn satisfied all SOX audit requirements for change management and user security on both LAN and AS400 based systems.) • Created and now maintain SOX and J-SOX documentation and I/T related controls. • Manage a budget in excess of 1 million dollars on a bi-annual basis. • In charge of lease schedules, negotiate rates and buyout deals, report pertinent information to accounting. • Manage helpdesk team that acts as call center for any I/T related request. • Direct AS400 and Visual basics programmers, advise on best practices and ensure security is a priority. • Oversee EDI Coordinator who is responsible for the successful transmission of data, as well as, EDI setup. • Utilize consultants when necessary to back fill responsibilities not met by current staff. • Continually identify strengths and weaknesses in employees, provide training accordingly. • Motivate and empower employees to succeed.
