I have the honour of getting education at the most prestigious institutions of the country: I have done BA (Hons) from Government College University, Lahore, and studied Political Science, English Literature and History. I did MPhil from Quaid-I-Azam University, Islamabad. I got more than 75% marks from both institutions. During for MPhil, I was selected by DAAD for study tour to Germany. The topic of my MPhil thesis was “Radical shifts towards the Religious Right in Pakhtun society: A case study of Malakand (1971-2013)”. I did extensive field work during my MPhil research, and tried to trace the impact of the ideology, discourses and practices of religious forces in the private and public spheres of people—including women.
Fortunately, I have done research projects on radicalization and violent extremism. I remained research assistant with Dr. Younis Samad of Bradford University, England, and completed a project, titled, “Radicalization and Social Resilience”.
