## BIO **2004-2008 Pacific Northwest College of Art, Portland, Oregon, USA.** Received Bachelor of Fine Art Degree in Communication Design. **2006 Ikejiri Institute of Design, Tokyo, Japan.** Studied design in Japan at Terou Kurosaki's unique design school. Hello! My name is Robin Balmer. I am a designer for the <a href= "http://www.acehotel.com">Ace Hotel</a> and I also work freelance. I have always enjoyed computers and making art with them. At age 10, a great teacher got me started down this path by teaching me the Bryce 3d modeling system, and helping me employ it to for a class-wide <a href= "http://homepage.mac.com/glenbledsoe/winners/Room5web/Room5a.html">project</a> that ended up winning a state-wide contest for the school. I've continued to create art with computers ever since. I recently graduated from Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon, USA, and I am a graduate of the Terou Kurosaki's <a href= "http://www.r-school.net/">Schooling Pad</a> program in Tokyo, Japan. I began designing freelance when a friend mentioned Rent A Coder in passing. I am very thankful to the Rent A Coder community for providing a safe and productive environment for entrepreneurs like myself. It troubles me as a designer to see many logos and other identifying graphics mass-produced like clip art these days. All of my designs are personal and original, with complete consideration of the client's needs and their intended audience, whether they want a traditional or a radical design. I seek out original and creative solutions for <a href= "http://www.robinaldo.com/identity.html">logos</a>, letterheads, advertisements, posters, <a href= "http://www.robinaldo.com/szoom.html">banner ads</a>, newsletter and book design for individuals or businesses. I am also available for game artwork, web site graphics, 3d design, illustration, video editing, and some Flash and Actionscript development. I have a great love for typography.
