it's for research purpose hypothetically. the research is not actually being done in reality. you just have to pick a problem in certain area, in my case, its food science. then propose objectives and aim of the study, prove that it is novel and has never being done before and show how you propose to solve it by proposing your idea. back your points up with facts, statistics and why it needed to be solved. just convince the judges the idea you are proposing will work and that's it

i am thinking of solving the antimicrobial resistance problem surrounding antimicrobial food packing.

Develop Original proposal solving a particular problem in Food Science
develop a full project hypothetically solving a problem in Food science. draw out hypothesis, make research plan of how many years the project will take, let the project be novel, i.e something that someone else have not done. and hypothetically prove to the reviewers, the solution you are proposing will work. back this up with literature and prove this is a problem that need solving.

i will have to see if you can develop a persisting problem and show scientific facts of why its a problem we should care about if the idea is fully developed and it is scientific then submit to the commitee, if they give a go ahead then i will work on making the slides for it. and prepare to present it.
