The story is in the form of a poem, approx 917 words.
It's about a child (based on my Daughter - A Caucasian Australian. Dark Blonde hair 13yo) who has dreams of doing big things but is shut down by Keith, the big hairy monster with sharp, yellow teeth and a gruff Cockney accent that shuts her down at every move, telling her she's useless and shouldn't bother even trying.
Keith's efforts are eventually thwarted by Ethel. A gigantic Tabby Cat with a German Accent who pushes Keith out of the way and boosts the child's confidence.
I picture Keith as a Gossamer-like character from Looney Tunes but with horns and large, sharp, yellow teeth. He is overly silly-looking and cartoon-like. A cross between Gossamer and Sweetums from the Muppets.
Ethel is just a Ginger Tabby Cat but huge. She is so tall that her head has to be bowed sideways against the ceiling just to fit in the room.
It's about the inner struggle that we all face when making decisions but can be an especially difficult time for children.
It's about inner struggle but is ultimately an uplifting story.
The story is to be published on the Amazon Kindle platform which is black and white but there will also be an option to print a hard copy version which will need to be in colour.
Need a creative Cover for the book as well as a few images for inside the book.
Don't have much of a budget but will be writing more Children's books in the near future.
