     As a journalist, I can tell you that If it's going to be persuasive and engaging then it's not a news article but an advertising copy. News articles are blunt and straight to the point with no form of persuasion at all. So I'll advise you to clarify this to give your contestants a clearer direction.

     Hi Faith O. Thanks for your response. Of course, I can understand your point. But in my opinion a news article can be written to be engaging and persuade from the writer's perspective. (Politicians use it all the time) ;)
     
     But for example, I can write a news article on how a specific company u organization benefited from using identification cards for their personnel on a trade-show event. Or, how it is beneficial for a youth sport clubs to properly identify their players to avoid sanctions for over age players. Also, how identification cards can be beneficial to gym membership or even insurance card holders. The request here was not to promote our company to make an advertisement. (That we already got). We need pieces of literature that can make the reader understand why ID cards still important and why involving themselves into the business of printing identification cards can be a great source of income for them.
