Write a short story with next requeriments:

- should follow guidelines of wikipedia's definition of "short story" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Short_story
- the extension is not really too important. It could be a little more short/long than a short story "should be"
- must be set in Eurasia at the years of the Black Death pandemic
- investigate and research before starting to write. Possible useful resources:

- the story could include characters like: a doctor/medic, an alchemist, a priest, a knight of a knights order, a philosopher, etc
- the story could include the rumor: the origin of the Black Death is China*

*obviously, not with the name "China" in those times. this could be usefull for this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europeans_in_Medieval_China
Also, actual investigators say the Black Death initialized in China, but at those years this could be not more than a rumor. People at that time could believe more "realistic" something like:

"A giant black cloud ship traveled from distant far lands, of the other side of the world, following the guide and order of the black king demon of the end of the world, to propagate the suffer and death in our world."

- must contain mix of suspense, folktale, legend and mythology genres
- it must sounds possible, even if it contains fantasy, science fiction, paranormal, etc. Like a myth or legend.
- H. P. Lovecraft short stories are a good reference of the type of story to write.
Also, some creepypasta stories could be also used as reference

- readers target: adolescents, young adults and any person 17 years and older that could understand english language
- should be narrable out loud
- no sexual content
- no abusive, obscene nor bad language
- no abbreviations
- no too specific country's words
- no grammatical, spelling, syntactic or semantic errors
- content related to love or romance should be minimal or zero

CAUTION: entries with spam, copypaste from anywhere or not an original new story will be directly rejected and reported.

NOTICE: we will own the copyright of the winner story. The author's name will be included anywhere we use it.

Winner will be selected by originality and quality, even if some of the above requirements aren't totally fulfillment.

I focused on making the story believable, and revealing the fictional aspect in the ending, as the twist of the story (the priest doubting his faith and believing he brought death with him). - it must sound possible, even if it contains fantasy, science fiction, paranormal, etc. Like a myth or legend. ( this is written in the description of the contest) so if I can justify how the magical scene happened, then I can use it in the story. a hard magic system...

  Yes. But your start point of explanation must be our current world.
  I mean, if you want to cast a "fireball", your justification shouldn't be "it's a fire spell, any mage with that known could you cast it".
  Thats correct inside (for example) Tolkien's world, but not our world.
  For example, the "Greek Fire" has a very logical explanation, but in the past it was like magic to anyone that haven't the knowledge to make it.
  But also, you could write something like "the old man found an extrange object with a toggle. Each time he force the toggle a ball of fire comes out from the object". Then you need an explanation for that object: a time traveller lost a gun in that epoch, it's a device from aliens or a past extincted civilization, etc.
  I hope this can clarify it for you a bit.
