As you know, we are at the start of another election cycle in the U.S. and we are/will be inundated with political ads and campaigns from the various candidates in their respective political parties and affiliations. Select no more than three news items (print, online, video-based, social media) related to one subject or topic being discussed in the political discourse. Discuss the purpose/contribution of each news item and how it hopes to convince and persuade the reader/consumer towards its "message." How does each medium work to do this? (no more than 3 page in length, 12pt. Times/New Roman, DS). (2) Select a "reality television" program and deconstruct its appeal to a mass and/or targeted/niche audience(s). Please discuss in terms of the sponsoring network, corporations, production companies, and showrunners. Finish your investigation with your own assessment of its appeal to you as the media consumer. As a result of your viewing, what has it persuaded you to alter in your "reality"? (no more than 3 pages in length, 12 pt. Times/New Roman, DS).
